Coming Alive!©
Mother sleeps below the surface,
Underneath the cold dark earth
Body pungent from decay
Pushing out rivers of tears from
My dark chocolate eyes
She is dancing with the bugs
Underground
Long gone
No longer tangible
Nor identifiable
Vague,
Fading,
A distant memory
Yet
She is
Bursting out
Coming alive
From deep within me
Sleeping
In my lonely dark soul
Awakening
In my rhythmic
Chuckle of a laugh
In my thoughts
Forcing her way into
Every rising sound
As my fingers
Dance across
The strings of
My Guitar
